This Birmingham located SEND school caters for children aged three to eleven whom have a diagnosis of autism and learning difficulties. This school holds 107 students and a large dedicated and committed staff team work hard to promote the independence, improve communication skills and social skills along with a good staff to student ratio ensuring students get all the support they need.
This is a full-time learning support assistant role requiring you to work Monday to Friday 8:30AM-15:30PM supporting alongside the teacher and other learning support assistants. You will work on a one-to-one basis and within small groups of students and due to the age range this school caters for, you must be flexible across all age groups.
The role:
– We are looking for someone with previous special educational needs experience
– You will need to be confident with working with student with autism and learning difficulties.
– Due to this school catering for a variety of ages, you will need to be adaptable

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
