📚 The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join the school from February 2026 for the duration of the Spring Term, with the possibility of extension.

In this role, you will:

  • Support children’s development through play‑based and structured activities.
  • Work alongside teachers and colleagues to deliver engaging early years provision.
  • Encourage positive behaviour while helping children build confidence and social skills.
  • Create a safe, stimulating environment that promotes exploration and growth.
  • Contribute fully to daily routines and wider school activities.

By stepping into this position, you will actively shape children’s first experiences of education and help them build strong foundations for the future.

👩‍🏫 The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who demonstrates enthusiasm, commitment, and a genuine passion for early years education. Ideally, you will:

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (preferred).
  • Bring experience working with children, particularly in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Stay organised and manage tasks efficiently.
  • Adapt creatively to meet diverse developmental needs.
  • Approach challenges with positivity and resilience.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
