KS1 Teacher

Job Description

A warm and supportive primary school is seeking an enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to join their team. This role involves teaching across Key Stage 1, delivering engaging lessons that inspire young learners and support their early academic and personal development. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, strong curriculum knowledge, and a nurturing approach to help children thrive during these formative years.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum
  • Previous experience teaching in KS1 is highly desirable
  • Ability to create engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Excellent communication and classroom‑management skills
  • A warm, patient, and child‑centred approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

 

Day‑to‑day duties

  • Planning and delivering high‑quality lessons across KS1
  • Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Differentiating learning to meet a range of abilities and needs
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
  • Assessing and tracking pupil progress in line with school policies
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school
