Level 2 Teaching Assistant

About the role

A friendly and supportive primary school in Nuneaton is looking for a committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children, is confident supporting learning in the classroom, and is passionate about helping pupils feel engaged, supported and ready to learn each day.

Requirements

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Previous school‑based experience is desirable
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is an advantage
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A calm, patient and adaptable approach
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

Day‑to‑day duties

• Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom
• Working with small groups or individual pupils
• Helping pupils stay focused, motivated and confident
• Assisting with phonics, reading, writing and maths activities
• Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation using agreed strategies
• Helping maintain a positive, inclusive and well‑organised classroom environment
• Working closely with the class teacher to deliver high‑quality support
