Primary Teaching Assistant – Wolverhampton

Start Date: ASAP

Zest Education is thrilled to recruit a committed Primary Teaching Assistant for a friendly and forward-thinking school in Wolverhampton. About the Role

In this role, you will actively support teaching and learning across the entire primary phase, from Early Years to Key Stage 2. You will:

  • Work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging lessons and activities

  • Support pupils with reading, writing and maths at various ability levels

  • Create and maintain a safe, stimulating and supportive classroom environment

  • Provide focused 1:1 and small-group interventions when needed

  • Encourage pupils’ social, emotional and academic growth

  • Assist with classroom organisation, resources and ongoing assessments

The Ideal Candidate

We prefer candidates with a Level 3 qualification in childcare, education or a related field. Additionally, you should have experience supporting children in a school or similar setting. You will also bring:

  • Clear and confident communication skills

  • A patient, positive and proactive attitude

  • Effective behaviour-management strategies

  • The ability to collaborate well with teachers and support staff

  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for working across different age groups

  • A solid understanding of safeguarding and child development
