EYFS Teaching Assistant

Job Description

🌟 EYFS Teaching Assistant 🌟

Employer: Zest Education

Location: Burton, Staffordshire

Contract: March 2026 – End of Spring Term (with potential extension)

🏫 About the School

Zest Education is delighted to be working with a warm and welcoming primary school in Burton that places early years learning at the centre of its vision. The school thrives because of its inclusive ethos, supportive staff team, and strong community relationships. Additionally, the early years department offers a creative, play‑based environment where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. As a result, pupils develop confidence, curiosity, and independence from the very beginning of their education.

📚 The Role

We are now recruiting a committed EYFS Teaching Assistant to join the school from March 2026 for the duration of the Spring Term, with the possibility of extension.

In this role, you will:

  • Support children’s development through engaging, play‑based activities.

  • Encourage positive behaviour and help children build social and emotional skills.
  • Create a safe, stimulating learning environment that promotes exploration and growth.
  • Contribute to daily routines and participate in wider school activities and events.

By stepping into this position, you will play an active role in shaping children’s earliest learning experiences and helping them build strong foundations for the future.

👩‍🏫 The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about early years education. Ideally, you will:

  • Hold a Level 3 Early Years or Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred).
  • Have experience working with children, particularly in an EYFS or nursery setting.
  • Communicate clearly and build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
  • Stay organised and manage tasks efficiently throughout the school day.
  • Adapt creatively to meet a range of developmental needs.
  • Approach challenges with patience, resilience, and a proactive attitude.

With these skills, you will thrive in a busy early years environment and make a meaningful impact on young learners.
