Qualified Teaching Assistant – Rugby

A welcoming and well‑resourced primary school in Rugby is looking for a qualified Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long‑term basis. You’ll be supporting pupils across the classroom, assisting with small‑group work, and helping to create a positive, engaging learning environment where every child feels confident and supported.

What the school is looking for

• A Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent)
• Strong classroom experience in a UK primary school
• Confidence supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
• A calm, patient and proactive approach
• Good communication skills with pupils, staff and parents
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

Key responsibilities

• Supporting pupils during lessons across the school
• Delivering small‑group interventions in literacy, numeracy or phonics
• Helping pupils stay focused, engaged and confident
• Assisting with classroom routines and preparation
• Providing tailored support to pupils who need an extra boost
• Working closely with the class teacher to enhance learning
• Contributing to a warm, inclusive and well‑organised classroom
