Flexible hours | Immediate and ongoing opportunities | Through Zest Education

Zest Education is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teachers to work across a range of primary schools in Stoke on Trent and the wider Staffordshire area. This is an ideal opportunity for teachers who value flexibility, variety, and the chance to make a positive impact without the commitment of a full‑time class role.

What the role involves

Supply teaching offers a dynamic working pattern, allowing you to choose when and where you work. You’ll be stepping into different classrooms, supporting pupils’ learning, and ensuring continuity of education in the absence of the class teacher.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Delivering pre‑planned lessons across EYFS, KS1, or KS2
  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Adapting quickly to new settings and routines
  • Building strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Providing feedback to the school at the end of each day

What we’re looking for

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in primary settings (EYFS, KS1, or KS2)
  • A flexible, proactive approach and confidence working in new environments
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
  • Reliability and professionalism when representing Zest Education

What Zest Education offers

  • Competitive daily rates of pay
  • Full flexibility — choose the days you want to work
  • Opportunities for short‑term, long‑term, and day‑to‑day placements
  • Supportive consultants who understand your needs and preferences
  • Work across a variety of friendly, welcoming schools
  • A straightforward registration process and ongoing guidance
