SEND Teaching Assistant – 2 days pw

Supporting Pupils with Complex Needs – If you’re looking for a part‑time role where you can make a meaningful difference to children with additional needs, this primary school in Warwick is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join them for 2 days per week. You’ll be supporting pupils with complex SEND needs within the classroom, helping them feel safe, engaged and ready to learn.

This role is ideal for someone with strong SEND experience who is confident providing consistent, patient and personalised support.

• SEND experience is essential, ideally with complex needs
• Confident supporting pupils within a primary classroom
• Ability to follow support plans and adapt activities
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of safeguarding and supporting vulnerable pupils

Role Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with complex SEND
• Helping pupils access learning and stay engaged in lessons
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and behaviour
• Assisting with routines, transitions and classroom expectations
• Working closely with teachers and the SEND team
• Contributing to a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment
