Qualified Teaching Assistant

A welcoming primary school in Rugby is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full‑time basis. The school is seeking someone who can bring enthusiasm, reliability and a supportive approach to the classroom, with the ability to work confidently with pupils across the primary age range. A Level 3 qualification is preferred, however strong Level 2 candidates will also be considered. Due to the school’s location and the need to travel between sites when required, the successful candidate must be able to drive.

Candidate Requirements

• Level 3 TA qualification preferred (Level 2 accepted)
• Must hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle
• Experience supporting children in a primary setting
• Confident working with pupils of varying abilities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A patient, proactive and enthusiastic approach
• Understanding of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

Role Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils during lessons, group work and daily routines
• Providing 1:1 or small‑group support where needed
• Assisting the class teacher with learning activities and preparation
• Helping pupils stay engaged, confident and ready to learn
• Contributing to a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment
