Job Description

A welcoming mainstream primary school in Warwick is seeking an enthusiastic Unqualified Teacher to join their team on a full‑time basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong classroom experience—particularly those who have worked as a Teaching Assistant—and who is ready to take on greater responsibility within a teaching role. The school is especially keen to meet candidates with SEND experience, as you will be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs while delivering engaging and structured learning activities.

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong classroom or Teaching Assistant experience
  • SEND experience is essential
  • Confident leading small groups and supporting whole‑class learning
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive, calm and enthusiastic approach
  • Understanding of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom
  • Leading small‑group activities and delivering pre‑planned lessons
  • Providing targeted support for pupils with SEND
  • Assisting with behaviour management and classroom routines
  • Working closely with the class teacher and wider staff team
  • Helping create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment
