Sports Coaches Needed – Cover Supervisor Roles in Walsall & Surrounding Areas

Zest Education is recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coaches to work as Cover Supervisors in secondary schools across Walsall, including Pelsall, Aldridge, Brownhills, Streetly, Willenhall and Bescot. We have immediate starts available as well as opportunities beginning in May 2026.

🏫 What does a Sports Coach Cover Supervisor do?

As a Cover Supervisor with a sports background, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning when teachers are absent. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising KS3 and KS4 PE lessons
• Leading a variety of classroom-based lessons using pre‑planned materials
• Managing behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety during physical activities
• Encouraging students to stay active, engaged and motivated

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young people and want to develop their confidence and leadership skills within a school environment.

✔️ What you need to be considered

You must have either:

• A minimum of 20 days’ experience working with groups of children or young people OR
• Be a recent university graduate

Experience in coaching, youth work, mentoring or leading sports sessions is highly desirable.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
