A busy SEND school located in Birmingham are currently looking for a classroom support assistant to join their dedicated and hardworking team. This lovely school supports students ages 4-19 with autism and moderate learning difficulties and the staff team work immensely hard to support meeting their needs and providing enjoyment in their learning. The curriculum offered here is tailored to each students’ requirements and emphasises social skills, communication skills and emotional regulation skills which is beneficial to the students within their adult living studies.
This is a part-time role requiring you to work 8:30AM – 15:30PM supporting alongside the teacher and other classroom support assistants. You will be required to work on a one-to-one basis and within small groups of students and due to the age range of the students, you must be flexible across all ages.
The role:
– We are looking for someone with previous special educational needs experience
– You will need to be confident with working with student with autism and moderate learning difficulties.
– Due to this school catering for a variety of ages, you will need to be adaptable

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
