Zest Education needs you! We are exclusively working with a SEND school located in Birmingham who are looking to recruit a learning support assistant. This fantastic school supports students aged three to eleven with autism and learning difficulties and works hard to support their education with several different techniques and methods. The school aims to promote the student’s independence and support their communication skills and social skills ready to prepare them for real life experiences outside their education. A dedicated and committed staff team is present within the school and works alongside local governors and trusts to implement the best possible education for the students.
This is a full-time role requiring you to work Monday to Friday 8:30AM-15:30PM supporting alongside the teacher and other learning support assistants. You will be required to work on a one-to-one basis and within small groups of students and due to the age range of students, you must be flexible across all ages.
The role:
– We are looking for someone with previous special educational needs experience
– You will need to be confident with working with student with autism and learning difficulties.
– Due to this school catering for a variety of ages, you will need to be adaptable

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
