Caretaker

Location: Lichfield, Staffordshire

Hours: 1 day per week, ongoing

Contract: Ongoing

Start: ASAP

Zest Education are looking for an experienced and dedicated Caretaker to join our partnered School. Our partnered school is a well-established and high-performing setting, with a genuine commitment to supporting their school community and providing a safe environment where staff and students can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the full school site, including reporting and supporting with any faults and repairs.
  • Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the premises
  • Key holder responsibilities – unlocking and securing the site day to day.
  • Ensure that health & safety, and security standards are consistently upheld
  • Reporting any concerns to the site team or school manager.

Key Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check (or be willing to obtain one).
  • Previous experience in a maintenance or caretaking role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic and positive, flexible approach.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
