KS2 Class Teacher

Job Description

We are looking for an inspiring and dedicated KS2 Class Teacher to join our warm, community‑focused primary school in South Birmingham, to start ASAP. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about nurturing children’s curiosity, building strong relationships and creating a classroom where every learner feels seen, supported and challenged.

About the role

You will take responsibility for a class of enthusiastic pupils, delivering high‑quality teaching that supports their academic progress and personal development. You will work closely with a supportive team of colleagues who share a commitment to creativity, inclusion and high expectations.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Create a positive, stimulating classroom environment where children feel safe and motivated
  • Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and track pupil progress
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and families to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including events, clubs and enrichment opportunities
  • Uphold the school’s values and promote excellent behaviour, respect and kindness

Person specification

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an enthusiastic, reflective practitioner with strong classroom practice
  • Holds QTS and has experience teaching in a primary setting
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
  • Has strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork
  • Is passionate about inclusive education and supporting children with a range of needs
  • Brings creativity, resilience and a genuine love of teaching
