Full-time Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting for several Teaching Assistant roles in Stourbridge, Birmingham area to start as soon as possible. This position will continue on a temporary basis until the end of the academic year.

This school caters for children aged three to fourteen providing high-quality education to children with complex needs, severe learning difficulties, including autism, and children with profound and multiple learning difficulties. This school is recognised for their family centred ethos and values, partnerships with families is essential to this school as through working together, you can achieve the best outcomes for the child.

The ideal candidate will be resilient, patient, and confident when presented with challenging behaviours. Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they are adaptable to each child’s educational needs in order to build positive relationships.

The role:

• Must have previous experience within a special educational needs setting
• The successful candidate will need to be adaptable as you will be working with individual and small groups of children
• Need to be confident, enthusiastic and be able to identify and engage with different learning needs.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
