Full-time Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic, bright, and hard-working Teaching Assistant to work on a long-term basis at a special needs school located in Nuneaton.

This school caters for children with autism and social, emotional or mental health (SEMH) difficulties from ages nine to nineteen. This an outstanding primary school which has a dedicated team of staff and teachers dedicated to providing high-quality education by using personalised programmes. Due to the needs of the children, we are looking for someone with special education needs experience and who is confident with managing challenging behaviours.

This role will consist of working alongside the teacher, promoting independence and contributing, accessing and recording children’s progress. You may be required to work with children on a one-to-one basis with the children as well as small groups, so it is essential you are adaptable to all complex needs and age groups.
