Afterschool Club Assistant

Location: Stafford, Staffordshire

Start: ASAP

Hours: 3:30pm to 17:30pm

Zest Education are looking to recruit a reliable Afterschool Club Assistant to help create a safe and happy environment at the end of the school day!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise children during afterschool club sessions, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Plan, support, and engage children in a range of fun, safe and age-appropriate activities.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, teamwork, and respectful social interactions.
  • Assist with preparing and serving snacks, and encouraging healthy eating habits where appropriate.
  • Administer basic first aid when required and report any incidents in line with school prpocedures.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • An enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one)
  • Previous experience supporting children (ideally in a school setting)
  • Have a calm, caring and approachable manner.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and promoting children’s well-being.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
