Reception Teacher

A welcoming primary school in Coventry seeks a part‑time Reception Teacher for a September start. You deliver calm, structured EYFS provision that helps children feel safe, confident and ready to learn. Moreover, you create purposeful routines that support early development and positive behaviour. In addition, you work closely with the EYFS lead to plan engaging activities that promote curiosity and independence. Throughout the day, you guide children through play‑based learning and encourage steady progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach EYFS lessons that support early development
• Deliver play‑based activities that build confidence and curiosity
• Use clear routines to support regulation and reduce anxiety
• Prepare adapted learning tasks for children needing extra help
• Support early phonics and early numeracy through guided practice
• Work closely with teaching assistants and the EYFS lead to maintain consistent provision
• Track child development and adjust teaching when needed

What We’re Looking For

• A qualified Reception Teacher with L3 EYFS or QTS
• Confidence supporting children with varied early learning needs
• Clear communication and a warm, nurturing approach
• Ability to follow structured routines and support emotional regulation
• Part‑time availability from September
• Interest in Coventry‑based EYFS roles
