Zest Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join a large and inclusive primary school in Tamworth from September 2026.
The school is well-regarded within the local community for its nurturing approach, strong pastoral support, and commitment to providing every child with the opportunity to succeed. This role will be based within the school’s specialist SEND provision, supporting children with a range of additional needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children who require additional support to access education.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to engage with learning, develop positive relationships, and navigate challenges throughout the school day.
You will primarily be supporting two children who can display challenging behaviour and heightened levels of emotional dysregulation. The successful candidate will be able to remain calm, patient, and consistent, building strong relationships and implementing strategies that help pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
This role requires an individual who is resilient, compassionate, and highly committed to supporting children with complex needs within a mainstream primary school setting.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
