School Site Manager

A busy, community‑focused school in Birmingham City Centre is looking for a reliable, practical Caretaker / Site Manager to help keep the school safe, clean, and running smoothly. This role suits someone hands‑on, organised, and confident managing day‑to‑day site tasks.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Opening and locking the school site, managing alarms and security
  • Carrying out basic repairs, maintenance, and DIY tasks
  • Overseeing contractors and supporting planned maintenance
  • Keeping the school clean, tidy, and safe, including outdoor areas
  • Managing stock, cleaning supplies, and site equipment
  • Ensuring health & safety checks and records are up to date

👷 What the School Needs

  • Desirably previous experience working in a school
  • Practical maintenance/DIY skills
  • Reliability, good organisation, and a proactive attitude
  • Understanding of health & safety and safeguarding
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
