The Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting children’s early development, ensuring they learn, grow, and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. Working alongside experienced Early Years professionals, you will help deliver engaging activities that support the EYFS framework while promoting children’s social, emotional, and educational development.

Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting children aged 0-5 years within a nursery or early years setting
• Delivering stimulating and engaging learning activities
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Assisting with personal care where required
• Observing, monitoring, and recording children’s progress
• Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
• Supporting mealtimes, outdoor play, and structured learning sessions
• Working collaboratively with nursery staff, parents, and carers

Nursery Practitioner Requirements

To be considered for this Nursery Practitioner position in Wolverhampton, you must have:

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum Level 2 Qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or equivalent
• Previous experience working within a nursery, preschool, or early years environment
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine passion for supporting young children’s development
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
