Here at Zest Education, we are exclusively recruiting for a teaching assistant for a school located in Solihull, Birmingham. This school caters for children with moderate learning difficulties who are diagnosed also with autism from ages four to nineteen. Students care, support and learning is at the heart of the service and carried through the school by a dedicated staff team who ensure the students are enjoying their learning and are achieving as much as they can. This school prides itself on forward thinking, being proactive and providing their students with the best possible start to their education journey and complete this effectively by knowing their students so well and adhering to their needs.
This is a full-time role requiring you to work Monday to Friday 8:30AM-15:30PM supporting alongside the teacher and other teaching assistants. You will be required to work on a one-to-one basis and within small groups of students. Due to age range of the students, you must be flexible across all age groups.
The role:
– We are looking for someone with previous special educational needs experience.
– You will need to be confident with working with student with moderate learning difficulties and autism.
– Due to this school catering for a variety of ages, you will need to be adaptable.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
