Part-time Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Are you passionate about education and working with SEND children? Do you have recent school-based experience? Then we would love to hear from you!

We are currently looking for a part-time Teaching Assistant for a special educational needs school located in Nuneaton. This position is to start March 2022 and will be ongoing until the end of the academic year, you will be required to work 3 days a week.

This school caters for students from the age of five to sixteen with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). The team here work hard to maintain a supportive and inclusive ethos across all areas of the school and put the children at the heart of what they do.

We are seeking flexible candidates who have an attentive approach, knowledge, and experience of working within a SEND setting. This role requires someone who is passionate with delivering high-quality learning and support to children with Autism. The main emphasis of the role is to support students with their learning alongside supporting with behaviours and ensuring the classroom environment is up to a high standard.

The role:

  • You have previous experience of supporting individuals with special educational needs
  • You must be a motivated individual with a desire to improve the students opportunities
  • You will be working in small class sizes, with a maximum of nine students in each class

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
