Early Career Teachers

Job Description

Are you an Early Career Teacher who is looking for a placement in the right school? Are you wanting to gain valuable experience in the industry while making a difference to young people’s lives?  Zest Education work closely with several secondary schools located in Staffordshire and have a high demand for ECT’s.

Roles required include day to day cover, short-term or long-term placements to start as soon as possible, which will be an ongoing need. Both part- and full-time positions can be offered, with lots going into permanent roles.

General supply allow applicants to decide which days they would like to work and is incredibly flexible around your current commitments.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them a QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for teaching and excellent subject knowledge in chosen subject
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements)
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Good ICT skills

Rate of pay varies dependent on experience.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).

The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
