Supply Teachers

Zest Education are working closely with secondary schools in Sutton Coldfield who have a high demand for Supply Teachers. The roles we have available are to start ASAP where you can choose the days you work.

As a supply teacher, you will be required to:

• Teach students and effectively communicate the learning outcomes.
• Supervise and monitor the behaviour of pupils to ensure a positive learning environment
• Answer any questions students may have
• Deal with any immediate issues that may occur and handle them in line with the schools policies and procedures
• Collect work and report feedback to the appropriate member of staff

Supply Teaching gives you the opportunity to experience different schools and offers you variety giving you the chance to work with a range of ages. Working on supply is flexible to work around your commitments and you can even use supply to help you find a permanent role.

The successful candidate will have:

• A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS.
• A strong passion for several subjects and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4.
• A team ethos and the ability to be a part of a strong team environment.
• The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (with planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
• Strong classroom and behaviour management.
• Good time management and ICT skills.
