Are you a teacher looking for part time work?

Zest Education is working closely with several secondary schools in North Staffordshire who need part time Supply Teachers ASAP. These roles will see you choosing the days you want to work and experiencing different schools in your local area.

The areas we cover include Burton on Trent, Stafford, Cannock, Rugeley, Tamworth and Stone.

 Typical supply teacher tasks include:

Teaching students and effectively communicating the learning outcomes

Supervising and monitoring the behaviour of pupils to ensure a positive environment for learning

Answering any questions students may have

Dealing with any immediate issues that may occur and handling them in line with the schools policies and procedures

Collecting work and reporting feedback to the appropriate member of staff

The successful candidate will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS.
  • A strong passion for several subjects and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4.
  • A team ethos and the ability to be a part of a strong team environment.
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (with planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management.
  • Good time management and ICT skills.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
