Receptionist admin role

Job Description

A busy primary school in Yardley Wood, Birmingham is recruiting for a part time receptionist to join their team.

The role will be a temporary on-going contract (mornings only) for a minimum of 12 months.

The successful applicant must:

  • Have the highest regard for safeguarding and health and safety procedures
  • Understand the importance of protecting children and always following school policy
  • Be confident to work on their own initiative
  • Work well under pressure
  • Be confident in maintaining a good ethos within a school-based office environment
  • Have a strong work ethic
  • Be able to work to strict timeframes
  • Be a strong communicator and work well as part of a team

What the role will involve:

  • Managing and observing attendance reports
  • Updating SIMS (previous experience would be ideal)
  • Collating reports
  • Liaising with Senior Leaders to report any concerns
  • Reporting safeguarding concerns
  • Working within a well-established team

This mainstream school is ideally situated with excellent public transport links and is led by an experienced and passionate Head Teacher. The school is a well-regarded 2-form entry which provides all children with a secure and supportive education.

Previous experience working within a similar environment is essential.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
