Zest Education are looking to recruit a inspiring and creative Geography Teacher for a ‘Good’ OFFSTED rated school in the Stone area of Staffordshire. The role is full time from April 2024 but part time (0.8) may be acceptable for the right candidate.
The school itself is a busy secondary school which has excellent interactive resources in all classrooms and learning areas. The ideal candidate needs to be creative and have a diverse range of teaching techniques to allow for interactive and engaging classes. The chosen candidate will also be joining the wider humanities department so some subject knowledge of History and RE would also be desirable should there be the need of covering lessons for other members of the department.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
- A strong passion for the subject of Geography and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 – KS5.
- A team ethos and wanting to be part of a strong team environment
- The ability to plan, mark and deliver high-quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long-term placements).
- Strong classroom and behaviour management
