A school in Bromsgrove are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work on a 1-2 basis in an EYFS class with two children who have additional needs. This is a long-term role, due to start as soon as possible for the right candidate, initially for 5 mornings a week.

Through good teaching and learning and the relationships they build with parents and the wider community, their children leave the school as confident, able learners equipped with the skills and knowledge to continue their lifelong learning journey. They have an enthusiastic, highly motivated staff who are committed to a caring, child-centred ethos.

Some internal training will be given to the successful candidate for best ways to support the needs of the children; you will be supporting the children during activities and completing some specific interventions. To be successful in this role you must:

  • Have a caring and patient nature
  • Have excellent communication skills due to speech and language needs
  • Be eager to learn and have a positive attitude
  • Be adaptable and creative with the support you give
  • Be dedicated to the role and the children you are supporting
  • Communicate well with the class teacher and SENDCo to give regular updates on their progress

Pay is dependent on references and experience.
