A welcoming mainstream primary school in Towcester is now seeking a committed 1:1Teaching Assistant to join their team full‑time from September. As soon as you step into this role, you become an essential part of the classroom, and you actively support pupils with additional needs as they learn, develop and grow in confidence. Additionally, you work closely with the class teacher each day, ensuring lessons run smoothly while also helping to create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment.

Moreover, you take on a range of responsibilities that make each day purposeful and rewarding. You provide 1:1 and small‑group support, and you guide pupils through activities that strengthen their understanding and independence. Furthermore, you encourage positive behaviour, promote emotional regulation and contribute to a nurturing classroom culture. Ultimately, you play a key role in helping children feel supported, valued and ready to succeed.

Key Responsibilities of a 1:1 Teaching Assistant 

• Supporting SEND pupils through 1:1 and small‑group work
• Assisting with daily routines and classroom organisation
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional development
• Helping pupils access learning through adapted tasks and clear guidance
• Working closely with teachers, the SENCO and wider school staff

What We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting children with SEND (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language)
• A proactive, patient and enthusiastic approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Confidence supporting primary‑aged pupils
• Full‑time availability Monday–Friday from September
• Interest in SEND roles in Towcester

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
