1:1 Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a One-to-One Teaching Assistant in a primary school in Lichfield. This part-time role offers 2-3 days a week with an immediate start and the potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate.

The school values the individualised support and attention that a dedicated assistant can provide to students and has a strong emphasis on personalized learning- recognizing that each child has unique needs and abilities. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the class teacher to develop tailored lesson plans and support strategies for the student you may be assigned to. The school has a collaborative and supportive environment where you will be seen as an integral part of the educational team. Additionally, the school offers ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and expertise in supporting students effectively. Responsibilities:

– Providing support and guidance to a student on a one-to-one basis

– Assisting the student with academic tasks as directed by the teacher

– Encouraging and motivating the student to reach their full potential

– Communicating effectively with teachers and parents regarding the student’s progress

– Maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

– Experience working with primary aged children

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills

– Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others

– Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team

– Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.

The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
