Zest Education, an award-winning education agency, is currently working closely with a delightful school in Walsall to fulfil the position of a 1:1 Teaching Assistant. This part-time role is set to commence towards the end of April and continue until the end of the academic year.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing tailored support to a specific student within the school. This will involve assisting the student with their learning, behaviour management, and emotional well-being. The successful candidate will need to work closely with the classroom teacher to ensure the student’s needs are met effectively and keep track and communicate progress of the student with the relevant members of staff.

You will be required to:

– Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
– An understanding of special educational needs and the ability to provide individualized support
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
– Relevant qualifications in education or a related field

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
