1:1 Teaching Assistant – Year 6 (Immediate Start)

Zest Education is urgently recruiting a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil in a welcoming primary school in Wolverhampton. This role requires strong KS2 curriculum knowledge, patience, and the ability to build a trusting, positive relationship with a child who needs tailored support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil with additional learning needs
• Reinforce class teaching, adapting tasks to ensure understanding and progress
• Support emotional regulation, confidence, and independence
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow support plans
• Help prepare the pupil for end‑of‑KS2 expectations, including SATs readiness

What the school is looking for

• Experience working within KS2, ideally Year 5 or Year 6
• A calm, consistent, and encouraging approach
• Ability to differentiate learning and break down tasks clearly
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting children
• Reliability and flexibility, with the ability to start immediately

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
