Zest are recruiting for 1:1 Teaching Assistants for a number of roles in Staffordshire. Both full time and part time roles are available. Roles are coming in thick and fast for areas such as Tamworth, Lichfield, Rugeley and surrounding areas. The positions range from EYFS ages – KS2.

To excel in the role of a 1:1 Teaching Assistant at Zest Education, there are certain eligibility criteria that prospective candidates need to meet. Each mainstream primary school in Staffordshire may have specific requirements, but some general qualifications and attributes are commonly sought after.

First and foremost, candidates must possess a strong sense of reliability, compassion, and care. Working with students with special educational needs demands a high level of empathy and patience. Previous experience in a similar role, particularly working one-on-one with students, is highly advantageous.

Understanding the diverse needs of students with SEN is crucial. These needs can range from communication and interaction challenges to cognitive and learning difficulties, social and emotional issues, as well as sensory and/or physical requirements. Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn are key traits that successful candidates should possess.

In addition, being able to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents is essential. 1:1 Teaching Assistants play a vital role in supporting the overall development and well-being of students with SEN, and effective communication and teamwork are paramount.

If you meet these criteria and are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with special educational needs, then consider applying for the 1:1 Teaching Assistant roles available at Zest Education. Your dedication and commitment can truly make a difference in the lives of these students.
