Zest Education is currently recruiting a motivated and reliable Cover Supervisor to work in a thriving secondary school in Sandwell. If you’re confident, enthusiastic, and looking to gain valuable classroom experience, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons and managing classroom behaviour in the absence of the regular teacher. This is a vital role in ensuring that students remain engaged, focused, and supported during teacher absences.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising and delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4
Ensuring pupils remain on task and follow lesson plans
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Supporting students where needed and reporting feedback to staff
This role is ideal for:
Graduates considering a career in teaching
Experienced Cover Supervisors or Teaching Assistants
Individuals with youth work, coaching, or mentoring experience
You should:
Be confident in leading a class of secondary-aged students
Have strong communication and behaviour management skills
Be adaptable, organised, and calm under pressure
The school is based in Sandwell, easily accessible via public transport and with free on-site parking.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
