Zest Education are seeking a creative Art and Design Teacher to join a secondary school in the Rednal area. The successful candidate will be required to teach the Art and Design curriculum to students across KS3 to KS5. Knowledge of Photography is also desirable. This is a full time role due to commence in September 2025 and is expected to run for the full academic year.
Responsibilities:
– Plan and prepare engaging and challenging Art and Design lessons for students
– Provide instruction, guidance, and support to students during practical sessions
– Assess and evaluate student work, providing constructive feedback
– Collaborate with other Art and Design teachers to develop and improve the curriculum
– Participate in staff meetings, parents evenings, and other school events as required
Requirements:
– Qualified teacher status (QTS) in Art and Design (or relevant qualification)
– Experience teaching Art and Design at Secondary School level
– Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Art and Design curriculum
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons
– Organisational and time management skills
– Commitment to the wellbeing and development of students
