Catering Assistant

Location: Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire

Start: ASAP

Hours: Monday to Friday (12pm-1pm)

Pay: £14.25 /per hour

Zest Education are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Catering Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain safe and hygienic working practices at all times.
  • Restock and clean display fridges, vending machines and hot plates.
  • Cleaning duties including kitchen, dining areas, furniture and equipment when required.
  • Operation of a cashless till system.
  • To be familiar with pupil and staff allergen information and special dietary requirements.
  • Assisting the Catering Manager with stock taking.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • An Enhanced DBS (or be willing to complete one)
  • Previous experience in a school setting is ideal
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • To be a committed and reliable member of the team.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
