Are you passionate about creating nutritious and delicious meals for young minds? We are looking for a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Hednesford starting in January 2025.
Working Monday to Friday from 11.30am to 13.30pm, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of students by planning menus that meet nutritional guidelines and promote healthy eating habits. Your responsibilities will include reconciling daily income, preparing meals with care and attention, and managing supplies efficiently within a budget.
As a Catering Assistant, you will have the opportunity to develop relationships with food suppliers, ensuring the quality and freshness of ingredients used in school meals. Your commitment to health and safety policies will be vital in maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment for our students and staff.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
