Zest Education are recruiting exclusively for a teaching assistant at a busy primary school in Castle Bromwich, Birmingham. The position will be starting as soon as possible and will continue on a temporary basis, continuing into the new academic year (September 2022).

The successful candidate must:

  • Be NVQ Level 2 qualified (or above) in a relevant subject
  • Have a strong work ethic and team player attitude
  • Demonstrate a passion for working in education
  • Be an honest, reliable, and hardworking individual
  • Be an exemplary role model to pupils and colleagues
  • Experience/training within phonics would be advantageous but is not essential

The school is a busy 3 form entry which aims to cater for a broad range of pupils including a high number of EAL and SEN students. The team of teachers and staff work hard to maintain a supportive and safe environment for all children to grow and develop.

This position will be full time and will vary between working within small groups to help with the current catch up system within schools and working on a 1-1 basis to support children who need individual support, as and when required. The year groups will be assigned upon successful interview.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
