A popular special educational needs school in Walsall is recruiting for a full-time Classroom Support Assistant on a long-term basis starting May 2024 and will last throughout the academic year. Full-time and part-time positions are available.
As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with students aged 4-16 who have Autism (ASC) and face social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Collaboration and teamwork are at the core of the school’s ethos, and we are looking for an individual who thrives in a supportive environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who have complex learning needs and can confidently handle emotional and behavioural challenges. Resilience, quick thinking, and the ability to work independently with students on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis are essential qualities for this role.
Class sizes are small, with no more than 6 pupils per class, supported by a qualified teacher and up to 2 teaching assistants. If you are passionate about helping every child reach their full potential and want to be part of a nurturing educational environment, we would love to hear from you.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
