Computer Science Teacher

JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking a dedicated Computer Science Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching and ensure that students achieve excellent outcomes in computer science. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing an innovative curriculum, engaging with employers to enhance learner employability skills, and fostering a supportive learning environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Demonstrate outstanding teaching practices across various computer science and IT qualifications, such as GCSE and A-Level computer science, OCR I-Media, and Cambridge Technical.
– Collaborate with subject leads to develop a dynamic curriculum and engaging programs of study.
– Engage students through interactive and stimulating learning experiences that promote academic excellence.
– Uphold high standards of classroom discipline, adherence to school policies, and positive student-teacher relationships.
– Continuously improve teaching practices to ensure students achieve outstanding results.
– Maintain a safe and conducive learning environment that caters to the diverse educational needs of students.
– Utilize a variety of teaching resources and methods to support different learning styles and abilities.
– Stay updated on advancements in the field of computer science and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
– Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work and lesson plans that align with curriculum objectives.
– Monitor student progress through effective assessment and feedback mechanisms.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
– Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience.
– Proven track record of delivering high-quality computer science education.
– Familiarity with a range of computer science qualifications and examination boards.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
