Zest Education have been asked to find a Computer Science Teacher, that can teach across KS3 – KS5, in a secondary school in Smethwick. The school are looking for someone to join them in September 2024, this will be full time and will be for a minimum of one term.
The school is situated in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport. The successful candidate will be joining a well-supported departmental team, that encourage all their students to progress both socially and academically, so they grow into confident young adults.
The successful applicant will have:
- A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
- A strong passion for the subject of Computer Science and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS5
- A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
- The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
- Strong classroom and behaviour management
- A positive and adaptive approach to teaching, with the ability to motivate students
Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.
Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.
