Zest Education is working with several secondary schools across Stoke on Trent who have a high demand for cover supervisors. We have day to day, short term and long term roles available. Whether you are looking for full time or part time work, we can help!
The Role of a Cover Supervisor
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be required to work in secondary schools delivering high quality pre-planned lessons to groups of 11-18 year old pupils.
The work is pre-planned, by the classroom teacher and you will be expected to deliver this to the students. You will also need to manage behaviour in line with the schools policy and provide feedback to the relevant senior leaders.
The successful candidate will have the ability to:
– Manage the behaviour of students
– Demonstrate the highest standards for health and safety and safeguarding procedures
– Be both a strong team player and be able to work independently
– Be consistent in working with a broad range of pupils
– Motivate and engage positively with students
You will need to have at least 20 days of work / volunteer experience in one or more of the following roles:
– Sports coaches
– Youth Workers
– Camp America
– Football Coaches
– Dance Teacher
– School placements
– Voluntary work
– Scout leader
– Or be a recent graduate
Rate of pay varies dependent on experience.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
