Have you recently graduated? Are you interested in a career in education and want to build your experience before you do your teacher training? Zest Education are on the look out for keen and driven graduates to work in schools as cover supervisors in the Staffordshire area. This is including Lichfield, Tamworth, Stafford, Stoke on Trent, Stone, Cannock areas.
Many of our graduates have gone on to complete their teacher training after working as cover supervisors in our schools, this is a great way to gain experience and decide which pathway is right for you.
A successful cover supervisor will work with our secondary schools delivering pre planned lessons to groups of students aged 11- 18.
Any work will be pre-planned by the class teacher or another within the school. As a cover supervisor you will deliver this to the students whilst managing their behaviour and providing feedback to any relevant members of staff.
To be successful in this role we look for a graduate who has at least 20 days or more of experience working with children and or young people. This is a great way to start your career into teaching.
This experience can come in a variety of different forms:
The average day to day rate for a cover supervisor is around £76.92 – £90, with normal working hours being between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
