Zest Education are currently recruiting Secondary Cover Supervisors to work on a day-to-day or short-term basis across a variety of fantastic secondary schools in Leicester.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with classroom or youth work experience who are looking for flexible work within education  No Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required!

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects when teachers are absent.
• Maintain a calm and productive learning environment.
• Support students in completing the work set and managing behaviour effectively.
• Be a positive role model, encouraging engagement and participation.
• Report back to teaching staff on student progress or any issues from the day.

You’ll be providing valuable support to schools while developing your own experience within education a great stepping stone for anyone considering a future career in teaching or school leadership.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students, ideally within a school setting (e.g. Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Sports Coach, Youth Worker, Mentor).
• Confident managing behaviour and keeping students engaged.
• Professional, reliable, and able to build positive relationships with staff and pupils.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
