Are you a recent university graduate looking to kickstart your career in education? Zest Education is currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join schools across South Birmingham as cover supervisors. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a school setting and make a difference in the lives of young students. This will be starting September on a ongoing basis.
As a cover supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students stay on task and complete assigned work. To excel in this role, you will need to have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any subject and possess strong communication skills. While previous experience working with young people is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
One of the key requirements for this role is excellent behaviour management skills. You will need to be able to engage with students of different ages and backgrounds, creating a positive and productive learning environment. Additionally, the ability to work independently, follow instructions, and adapt to changing environments is essential for success as a cover supervisor.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
