Zest Education are working closely with a large secondary school in North Birmingham, close to Sutton Coldfield. The school have asked us to find a Design and Technology teacher, that can teach across KS3 -KS4. This position will be full time and will start in September 2024, this will be for a minimum of one term.
The school is a large secondary, that is well situated, it offers great indoor and outdoor facilities to allow for creative and fun lessons. The successful candidate will be joining a friendly and supportive department team, that encourage all their students to exceed into confident young adults.
The successful applicant will have:
- A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
- A strong passion for the subject of Design & Technology and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (Resistant Material knowledge would be an advantage)
- A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
- The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
- Strong classroom and behaviour management
Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.
Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.
