ECT Primary Teacher (KS1) – Full-Time Role

📍 Wylde Green, Birmingham | 🗓 Start Date: September 2026 | 🕗 Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to begin your teaching career in a supportive and welcoming primary school? We are currently recruiting a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher (QTS required) to join a thriving Key Stage 1 (KS1) team in the Wylde Green area of Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or early career teacher to develop confidence, grow professionally, and make a meaningful impact in the classroom from day one.


🌟 About the KS1 Primary Teacher Role

As an ECT KS1 Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality learning experiences that inspire and engage young learners. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering creative, engaging KS1 lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Supporting pupils’ academic progress and personal development
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Working closely with your ECT mentor and experienced teaching staff
  • Assessing, tracking, and reporting on pupil progress
  • Contributing to the wider school community and enrichment activities

🎓 Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this Primary Teacher KS1 role, you must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Experience working with children in a school or educational setting
  • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and child development
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A positive, reflective, and enthusiastic approach to teaching
  • A genuine passion for supporting young learners in primary education
