Zest Education are working with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Sutton Coldfield who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Engineering & Design Technology Teacher on a full-time basis from February 2027 until July 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher, or an ECT looking for further experience, to join a supportive department and inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
As an Engineering & DT Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students to develop their technical knowledge, creativity and practical skills.
You will:
Plan and deliver high-quality Engineering and Design Technology lessons.
Teach students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Inspire and motivate students through engaging, practical and challenging lessons.
Support students in developing their practical, technical and design skills.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Contribute positively to the wider Design Technology department and school community.
Maintain high expectations of behaviour, progress and achievement.
The successful candidate will ideally:
Have experience teaching Engineering, Design Technology or a related subject at secondary level.
Be confident teaching across KS3 and KS4.
Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for practical and technical education.
Be able to create an engaging and positive learning environment.
Have excellent classroom management skills.
Be committed to supporting students of all abilities.
Hold QTS or have relevant teaching experience/qualifications.
Be able to commit to the full-time position from February to July 2027.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
